Then Graeme Pringle joins us from Mirror counselling services to talk about why we get anxious, what we can do about it, and how to prevent it. Graeme shares practical tips about getting the right body-mind balance to get on top of the symptoms of anxiety: such as getting out your head and into your body to nip rumination in the bud, or to shift into 'problem solving' mode when physical symptoms are the source of distress.

This episode is all about the newest fad “mood-boosting” books. We review a mood-boosting book called ‘The Alphabet of the Human Heart’ by Matthew Johnstone, famous author of ‘I had a Black Dog’, which is all about the ups and downs of life.
Then Shirley Jones from the Dunedin City Library talks to us about why self-help books are so popular, and the particular benefits of having the evidence-based and peer-reviewed books in the library.

This episode is all about Diabetes – we interview Chris Higgs, a professional practice fellow from the Otago University School of Physiotherapy, who set up the free Dunedin Community Exercise Programme back in 2014. A community-based rehabilitation programme, it is for anyone who has diabetes or has risk factors for developing diabetes (prediabetes). Chris talks about how it got started, and why it is so effective.
